Mission Statement

To inform and inspire meaningful action by bringing attention to the critical environmental challenges facing our oceans and coastlines. We aim to shed light on the far-reaching impacts of pollution, climate change, and unsustainable practices, emphasizing the vital role clean water plays in maintaining healthy ecosystems and supporting human life. Through education, advocacy, and engagement, we explore the interconnectedness of marine conservation and daily living, striving to empower communities to protect and preserve these invaluable natural resources for future generations.

Florida’s marine environments saw an estimated 7,000 tons of plastic waste in 2020, excluding cleanup efforts, according to a state study.

Water Pollution

Water pollution happens when harmful substances, such as chemicals or microorganisms, contaminate bodies of water like rivers, lakes, oceans, or aquifers, reducing water quality and making it hazardous for humans and the environment.

This growing issue poses a serious threat to our health, as unsafe water claims more lives annually than war and all other forms of violence combined. On top of that, our supply of drinkable water is extremely limited—less than 1% of the Earth's freshwater is accessible for human use. Without immediate action, the situation is projected to worsen by 2050, with global freshwater demand expected to rise by 33%.
